Our History:

PopuliCom was born in 1998 as an interactive communications company.  An innovative-risky approach at that moment since Internet was starting to grow and the information era was in its early stage.  The digital knowledge that we acquired during those years makes our proposal stronger for today’s communications environment reality.

In 2005 we envisioned a needed shift in the communications business due to the accelerated growth of digital devices in peoples lives.  The shift was coming from a consumer standpoint, a strong voice claiming a one-on-one dialogue.  A more compelling offer was critical for brands to engage with consumers in a seamless manner, integrating traditional and digital disciplines. At that time we integrated into our business top talented management with a myriad of success stories in former positions in key agencies and managing worldwide brands.   The company evolved to a truly integrated communications agency.



During the past five years we have worked hand on hand with our clients in developing their businesses anticipating new consumer trends and engaging in communications that foster their goals achievement.

Some of the Fortune 500 companies we have worked with are located in the United States and others in Puerto Rico, and the work done for them is currently reaching out to the US Hispanic market, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Our work has been recognized in various key forums like Communication Arts Magazine, which selected the interactive work done for Rums of Puerto Rico to be part of its Interactive Annual. In 2008 the Sales and Marketing Executive Association of Puerto Rico awarded PopuliCom with the “360 Integrated Communication Campaign” award for work done in the launch of Anheuser-Busch’s Budweiser Select aluminum bottle.  Also, our work for Johnson & Johnson - Place2bfree was recognized globally as one of the three most innovative programs at the Global James E. Burke Award, 2009 and won first place at Latin America James E. Burke Award, 2009.

Today, we consider ourselves the new breed of advertising agencies with extensive experience in advertising, promotions, public relations, as well as web development platforms, mobile communications platforms and social marketing.

2010 marked a new milestone in our corporate development with the launch of an affiliate company, Mobile Pop, fully dedicated to mobile marketing. This unit specializes in smartphone application development, mobile websites, and houses a proprietary SMS transaction gateway able to reach 95% of all mobile phone units in Puerto Rico and in the United States through standard and premium messaging.
